FANART AND STUFF

Female. 27. Dane. Huge fan of Julie Andrews. Lover of a lot of different stuff/different people. If I love something it'll probably end up as my desktop wallpaper and most likely here as well.

All my wallpapers are made to fit my screen. Currently it's 1366x768 pixels. However, Tumblr resizes my images. Want the original? Send me a message and we'll figure it out.

Who I Follow

I honestly don’t know, what I did to deserve the 3 new followers that I’ve gotten since I last posted. Thank you for following me. Here’s the wallpaper that’s currently gracing my desktop:

The one and only Julie Andrews, whom I’m lucky enough to get to see on stage again in little over a week from now!

Last night I finished watching The Nanny on Netflix. Thanks to all the reruns on TV through the years there wasn’t a single episode I hadn’t already seen. I must have been around 9 or 10 when they first started airing it here (we’re almost always a few years behind America). I grew up watching this show. It’s still hilarious and I still get teary-eyed watching the finale.

This show is like a second family to me and it always will be.

I love everything about The Nanny, but Niles and C.C. have a special place in my heart.

Inspired by the beautiful photo from this book signing that lejazzhot posted yesterday.

October 28th 2006 was the day my biggest dream came true. I met and spoke with Julie Andrews.

4 years later, on May 8th 2010, another dream came true. Julie Andrews was singing on stage and I was in the audience. Can you believe I got to the hear that showstopping rendition of A Cockeyed Optimist. To this day I still get goosebumps listening to it <3

On May 31st, 2014 - another 4 years later - I will again get to see Julie Andrews live on stage.

I feel blessed <3

Sooo, I was going through my Sims folder and found these wonderful screenshots of glitches that’s made me laugh and at the same time made me want to throw the game out. I’ve always LOVED playing The Sims, but the sim in the first 4 pictures and the glitches that happened to her kinda ruined that. Usually I just laugh, but these were unfixable. I mean, how do you fix friends gone underground, sudden nudism when putting on clothes, being invisible in bed and a weird need for rolling up into a ball or whatever the heck she’s trying to do. I’d gotten so far with that sim and I had to start all over again. It actually made me stop playing for many many many months.

The other ones were just funny. I’m still laughing.

Netflix finally added two more seasons of Doctor Who. That means no more sleep for me until I’ve watched all the episodes.

Now all Netflix needs to do, is get the last 4 episodes with David Tennant, because I STILL haven’t watched him regenerate into Matt Smith.

Yesterday, Saving Mr. Banks premiered in cinemas here. Today I FINALLY got to watch it! I am in love with this movie and Emma Thompson too!

I know I’ve been awfully quiet the past couple of weeks. Hopefully, that’s about to change.

Kate: Is this real?

Roman: You see me don’t you.

Kate: Every time I close my eyes I see you. I dream about you when I’m awake, but I haven’t been able to touch you. Or to hold you. Oh, Roman, I don’t wanna ever let you go.

This song, this is the song we meant to dance to at our wedding. Our last dance together.

Roman: There are a lot of things that we never had a chance for in life. We didn’t get much of a Valentines Day, did we. But it wasn’t for the lack of trying.

Kate: It was my fault. I was spending so much time pushing you away.

Roman: So did I, so did I. But we finally did get it right, Katie. We did get it right … I died a very happy man.

Kate: Roman.

Roman: And don’t you ever, don’t you ever let joy of that day be lost to you forever.

Kate: How can I not? I’ve lost you forever.

Roman: I’m here. I am right here. And you’re right here and nobody can take that moment from us, not ever … I’ve gotta go.

Kate: No.

Roman: Sssh. I’ll be back.

Kate: Please don’t leave me here.

Roman: I love you, Katie. I love you very much.

Kate: Oh, Roman, why did you have to leave me here?

This scene is just as heartbreaking today as it was 10 years ago.
